Overview

A remote contractor role for seasoned corporate attorneys drawn from top BigLaw firms. You’ll contribute to a high-stakes project that trains next-generation AI systems by providing precise, real-world input on corporate transactions and litigation materials. Your domain knowledge in mergers and acquisitions, private equity, and capital markets will help shape how models reason about complex legal scenarios. This work emphasizes accuracy, clarity, and US practice standards while enabling asynchronous collaboration with project managers and reviewers. Boldly focus on your ability to analyze critical documents and translate them into high-quality data inputs.

What You'll Do7

  • 1Review and dissect complex deal documents, agreements, and structures related to mergers & acquisitions, private equity, and capital markets.
  • 2Offer detailed, accurate input on nuanced legal scenarios to inform AI training efforts.
  • 3Assess commercial litigation materials to extract essential legal principles and procedural details.
  • 4Provide expert feedback on legal reasoning, issue spotting and drafting approaches for project deliverables.
  • 5Annotate, categorize, and explain key corporate law issues to help build usable legal data sets.
  • 6Ensure all outputs meet strict accuracy, clarity, and US law compliance standards.
  • 7Work asynchronously with project managers and internal reviewers to align rubrics and quality expectations.

Requirements7

  • 1Licensed to practice law in the United States.
  • 2Recent BigLaw experience (within the last 3 years) in corporate matters, M&A, private equity or capital markets.
  • 3Proven expertise in commercial litigation and high-value transactional work.
  • 4Exceptional attention to detail in analyzing and interpreting legal documents.
  • 5Experience drafting reviewing and negotiating complex agreements.
  • 6Strong written communication skills able to present legal concepts clearly to varied audiences.
  • 7Experience with legal data annotation or rubric-based reviews is a plus.

Who Should Apply

The ideal candidate holds a US law license and recent BigLaw experience in corporate work, M&A, private equity, or capital markets. You should excel at analyzing complex documents and translating nuanced legal reasoning into data annotations. This role is less suitable for attorneys without current US licensing or limited exposure to high-stakes corporate matters. Common fit questions include your recent work in corporate transactions and whether you’ve participated in data annotation projects; candidates without strong attention to detail or with primarily solo practice experience may score lower.
