Overview

TRM Labs needs a Content Marketing Manager to run the editorial engine behind its talent-brand content. The work hangs on a content calendar you control, from priorities and timelines to owners and status, with every piece tied to one of three messaging goals the company wants to win share of voice on. A large part of the job means coaching a small group of R&D leaders into visible thought leaders, helping them pick differentiated topics and hold a steady publishing cadence. Expect blogs, executive thought leadership, social posts, and speaking-related material, plus close coordination with growth and distribution partners so the work lands with the right audience rather than just pulling traffic. The engagement runs about 20 hours per week with at least four hours of daily overlap with Pacific Time.

What You'll Do8

  • Own the editorial calendar for talent-brand content, setting priorities, timelines, owners, and status for each piece.
  • Tie every story to one of three messaging goals and track whether the output actually moves share of voice.
  • Edit and raise the quality of drafts coming from executives, technical leaders, and subject-matter experts.
  • Coach a small group of R&D leaders on topic selection, differentiated angles, and a consistent publishing rhythm.
  • Shape blogs, thought leadership, social content, and material tied to speaking engagements.
  • Write briefs and positioning for influencers, agencies, and production partners.
  • Team with growth and distribution partners so content reaches target audiences instead of only generating traffic.
  • Build a repeatable operating system that holds long-term strategy and week-to-week execution together.

Requirements10

  • 2+ years of recent work inside a high-growth tech company at roughly the 200 to 800 employee stage.
  • Direct ownership of content marketing at a strong technology company, not support or assist work.
  • Sharp editorial judgment as a writer and editor, with a clear sense of what reads as original versus generic.
  • Hands-on experience running editorial calendars and coordinating several contributors at once.
  • Track record developing content alongside executives, founders, or technical experts.
  • Ability to hold a strategic through-line while shipping week to week.
  • Working knowledge of content distribution and how to reach a defined audience.
  • Comfort using AI tools for output while keeping a human voice and a firm editorial bar.
  • Independent operation in a high-bar, fast-moving setting, with steady responsiveness during the workday.
  • At least four hours of daily overlap with Pacific Time.

Preferred Qualifications4

  • Building thought-leadership programs around individual executives or technical leaders.
  • Working with growth agencies, distribution partners, or external production teams.
  • Creating culture, company-narrative, or executive-brand content.
  • Marketing to technical audiences such as engineers and researchers.
