Overview

Mercor needs experienced IT leaders to judge AI-generated management work. You will review project plans, technical standards, incident responses, and other artifacts tied to enterprise IT operations. The job runs 4 to 6 weeks, starts soon, and asks for at least 20 hours each week. Experts compare AI answers on operational soundness, technical rigor, and cross-team feasibility. The first task uses task-based pay, then the project moves to hourly pay after you finish that task within the required timeline.

What You'll Do6

  • 1Score AI-generated project plans, technical standards, incident response documents, and similar IT management artifacts for accuracy and quality.
  • 2Run side-by-side comparisons of AI responses, weighing operational soundness, technical rigor, and how well each answer works across teams.
  • 3Review scenarios that involve system prioritization, vendor coordination, technical support, and team assignment.
  • 4Deliver expert feedback on where an AI response misreads IT management practice or misses operational risk.
  • 5Flag gaps in cross-team feasibility, resource plans, and technical decision-making.
  • 6Apply your own experience directing information systems and coordinating technical teams to set quality benchmarks.

Requirements5

  • 1At least 4 years in an IT management seat such as IT Manager, IS Manager, IT Director, Application Development Director, or Technical Services Manager.
  • 2A track record of directing or coordinating work across electronic data processing, information systems, systems analysis, or computer programming teams.
  • 3Availability for 20 or more hours per week during the project.
  • 4Strong written English, with the ability to explain technical judgments in clear prose.
  • 5Readiness to start right away and stay engaged for roughly 4 to 6 weeks.

Who Should Apply

The right candidate has led IT or information systems teams for 4+ years and can point to work that spans systems analysis, programming groups, or data processing operations. You should be comfortable reading AI output, spotting weak operational logic, and writing feedback that another expert can follow. This role fits people who can give 20+ hours a week for a 4 to 6 week sprint and want a remote, hourly engagement. The role fits less well for candidates whose management experience sits outside IT, such as general project management or software engineering without team direction. Common reasons for low fit include failing to show 4+ years in a named IT management role and applying without the weekly time capacity the project requires.

Salary Insight

The source lists $70.00 to $110.00 per hour. Payment starts as task-based work once the first task gains approval. If you complete that first task within the required timeline, the engagement shifts to hourly pay for the remainder of the project. That structure rewards accurate completion of the initial assignment.
