Overview
Mercor needs testers who already lean on AI chat assistants for real personal and work questions. You bring a task from your own life, hold a multi-turn conversation with the assistant, then rate both the exchange and the final deliverable against a professional standard. Prompt writing, multi-turn dialogue, and output evaluation sit at the center of the work, and short written notes record where the assistant fell short. The engagement runs remote at about 10 hours per week on a flexible schedule, paid at $30/hour.
What You'll Do7
- Type short requests in your own words, matching how a real user would phrase a question.
- Stay with the assistant across several turns, answering its follow-ups and steering it back on track.
- Push back the moment an answer drifts off target or misses the point of your request.
- Score the conversation flow and the finished deliverable against a professional benchmark.
- Write brief notes covering what the assistant handled well and what it got wrong.
- Pull tasks from your own personal or work life so each scenario stays realistic.
- Call out answers that read well but contain errors or gaps.
Requirements6
- Regular use of AI chat assistants for everyday and work questions.
- Clear, correct written English.
- No prior experience threshold applies to this role.
- Judgment sharp enough to hold an answer to a professional standard in your own domain.
- Patience to correct the assistant mid-task rather than starting over.
- Based in a country where the assistant is available.
Who Should Apply
Anyone who types to AI assistants often and can explain, in plain words, why an answer worked or failed. Writers, analysts, and subject-matter generalists who judge output against real work standards fit well here.
Salary Insight

Application tip
