Overview
micro1 is looking for experienced technical professionals to help train next-generation AI systems by working hands-on with autonomous AI coding agents. In this contract role, you'll apply your software engineering expertise to guide AI models, evaluate their outputs, and document best practices. No prior AI experience is required—your deep domain knowledge is what matters most.
What You'll Do7
- 1Leverage autonomous AI coding agents to execute and document complex software engineering and technical workflows.
- 2Plan, implement, debug, and refactor code in partnership with AI agents, providing clear reasoning and detailed feedback on results.
- 3Assess AI-generated code for errors, hallucinations, and improvement opportunities, then document your findings.
- 4Compare outputs from multiple AI systems (e.g., Codex, Copilot, Claude Code, Cursor, Gemini CLI) and analyze differences in reasoning and coding performance.
- 5Write clear, reproducible best practices and process documentation for effective AI agent workflows.
- 6Provide actionable feedback on agentic development environments and AI coding assistants to help refine their usability.
- 7Complete practical exercises that demonstrate your ability to work with AI in modern technical workflows.
Requirements6
- 1Proven ability to delegate multi-step technical tasks to AI systems and iteratively refine results.
- 2Strong understanding of prompt engineering, AI collaboration patterns, and evaluating AI-generated outputs.
- 3Background in software engineering, DevOps, data science, ML engineering, or technical automation.
- 4Familiarity with leading AI coding assistants (e.g., Codex, GitHub Copilot, Claude Code, Cursor, Gemini CLI) and agentic development environments.
- 5Exceptional written and verbal English communication skills—especially for documenting workflows and giving actionable feedback.
- 6Experience comparing, experimenting with, or reviewing multiple AI-powered development tools.
