Overview

micro1 is hiring Video Editors for an AI training project that involves reviewing and annotating video sessions of robotic arms completing real-world tasks. This is not a traditional editing or post-production role. You will use your eye for timing, continuity, and small visual changes to label actions, events, and outcomes with precision. No background in AI, robotics, or data annotation is needed. Your video editing experience and analytical skills are what matter most.

What You'll Do7

  • 1Watch footage of robotic arms performing tasks and follow detailed annotation and grading guidelines from the customer.
  • 2Mark actions, object interactions, transitions, task outcomes, errors, and other events within each video segment.
  • 3Apply frame-by-frame analysis and continuity judgment to determine when actions start, shift, and finish.
  • 4Use dedicated annotation tools to mark video events with precision and consistency.
  • 5Flag unclear footage, visual inconsistencies, or ambiguous moments and write concise notes about what you observe.
  • 6Support quality control by reviewing annotations and giving constructive feedback when asked.
  • 7Finish assigned batches on time and with high accuracy.

Requirements6

  • 1Professional or academic background in video editing, post-production, filmmaking, audiovisual production, or a related area.
  • 2Experience reviewing footage closely for timing, continuity, movement, and visual consistency.
  • 3Familiarity with editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, Final Cut Pro, Avid Media Composer, or similar tools.
  • 4Strong attention to detail and the ability to stay accurate during repetitive frame-level review.
  • 5Solid written communication skills, with the ability to document visual observations clearly and objectively.
  • 6Experience with video annotation, visual QA, AI training projects, or robotics is helpful but not required.

Who Should Apply

This role fits video editors, post-production specialists, or filmmaking graduates who enjoy close frame-level review and can describe what they see in clear, objective writing. If you have used tools like Adobe Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, or Final Cut Pro and you notice timing and continuity shifts, you are a strong match. The role is less suitable for someone looking for creative editing, color grading, or storytelling work. Candidates often get rejected when they submit a general editing reel without showing attention to detail, or when they cannot explain how they track small visual changes across frames. A lack of clear written notes in the application can also lower your fit score.

Salary Insight

The pay range for this contract is $21 to $35 per hour. The final rate depends on your background and the project scope. No other compensation details are provided in the source.
