SAP TM Consultant (Functional)
Overview
We're looking for a seasoned SAP Transportation Management (TM) Consultant to lead complex projects and guide a team of specialists. In this role, you'll partner with clients to understand their logistics needs, design tailored solutions, and ensure smooth delivery from blueprint to hypercare. What You'll Do5
- 1Lead client workshops and design sessions to capture business requirements and translate them into effective SAP TM solutions.
- 2Manage the full project lifecycle — from discovery and blueprinting through testing, go-live, and post-launch support — across at least two end-to-end implementations.
- 3Collaborate on project planning, resource allocation, and stakeholder communication to keep delivery on scope, budget, and timeline.
- 4Leverage your understanding of SD and MM modules, and ideally EWM, GTS, and BN4L integrations, to design seamless transportation workflows.
- 5Identify opportunities for additional value-added services, contribute to the company's SAP TM practice growth, and support sales with demos and RFP responses.
Requirements6
- 1At least 8 years of hands-on experience implementing and supporting SAP Transportation Management (TM).
- 2Deep functional knowledge of SAP TM capabilities such as transportation planning, freight order management, carrier selection, tendering, and settlement.
- 3Proven ability to configure and customize SAP TM — including master data, business rule framework, and transportation-specific enhancements — and optimize those setups.
- 4Experience leading end-to-end SAP TM projects through blueprint, design, testing, and deployment phases.
- 5Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills to influence and collaborate at all organizational levels.
- 6SAP TM certification is a plus but not mandatory.
