Python + Go Developer | $30-$80/hr Remote
Overview
This role is about using your Python and Go skills to train next-generation AI systems. You don't need an AI background—just your coding expertise—to help improve how models reason and perform. If you love working on cross-language migrations and building robust systems, this remote contractor position offers autonomy and real impact.
What You'll Do7
- 1Design, build, and maintain high-performance solutions using Python and Go.
- 2Lead transitions between codebases written in Python and Go, ensuring smooth swaps with minimal downtime.
- 3Work side-by-side with AI researchers and engineers to strengthen the infrastructure that powers AI training.
- 4Follow software engineering best practices—automation, testing—to ship production-ready code that's reliable.
- 5Help steer technical decisions and roadmaps for systems that span multiple programming languages.
- 6Clearly document and share updates with teammates and stakeholders via writing and calls.
- 7Review peers' code and coach other engineers on how to handle language interoperability and migration tasks.
Requirements6
- 1At least five years of professional software engineering, with deep experience in both Python and Go.
- 2Proven track record of moving and rewriting large codebases between Python and Go in production settings.
- 3Strong written and verbal communication skills; comfortable collaborating in a remote, distributed team.
- 4Self-starter who can deliver quality results without heavy supervision.
- 5Must be available for a minimum of six hours overlapping with Eastern Time business hours.
- 6History of making sound technical decisions and shipping high-quality code in fast-paced environments.
Who Should Apply
You're a seasoned engineer who thrives on the challenge of bridging two languages and building AI training systems. You're comfortable with ambiguity, enjoy mentoring others, and prefer working remotely with an async but overlapping schedule. An interest in AI is a plus, but your core strength is your ability to design and implement robust, scalable software.
