Overview

This is a chance to shape the future of security engineering at a company building AI-native systems. As a Product Security Engineer, you'll design autonomous security platforms that use machine learning and large language models to find and fix vulnerabilities at scale. You'll work remotely with a team that values deep technical expertise and a proactive approach to securing modern software and AI workloads.

What You'll Do9

  • 1Design and build security systems powered by AI that can automatically detect, triage, and patch vulnerabilities across applications, infrastructure, and AI pipelines.
  • 2Create agentic workflows that leverage LLMs for code review, threat detection, root-cause analysis, and automated fix generation, embedding intelligence directly into the security process.
  • 3Reimagine the Secure Software Development Lifecycle (SSDLC) by weaving AI-driven guardrails and continuous validation into CI/CD pipelines.
  • 4Lead threat modeling for distributed systems, RAG architectures, model-serving infrastructure, and autonomous agents, ensuring security is baked in from the start.
  • 5Build frameworks to protect AI systems against emerging threats like prompt injection, model abuse, data poisoning, and adversarial attacks.
  • 6Develop behavioral detection engines and risk models to catch synthetic identities, account takeovers, and fraud during customer onboarding and KYC flows.
  • 7Use machine learning and contextual risk scoring to cut through alert fatigue, prioritize findings, and drive autonomous remediation decisions.
  • 8Collaborate closely with engineering, platform, and AI research teams to embed security as a native capability rather than an afterthought.
  • 9Mentor other engineers and run enablement programs that spread a culture of secure AI development across the organization.

Requirements8

  • 1Proven experience creating or applying AI/LLM-powered security tools — think agentic remediation, autonomous vulnerability discovery, or security copilots.
  • 2Deep background in Application Security, Product Security, or Security Engineering, paired with strong software development skills (8+ years total in related domains).
  • 3Hands-on familiarity with enterprise security tooling such as Snyk, Checkmarx, GitHub Advanced Security, Semgrep, Wiz, or Lacework, and experience integrating them into automated developer workflows.
  • 4Solid grasp of modern security architecture, including cloud-native systems, APIs, microservices, and distributed computing environments.
  • 5In-depth knowledge of OWASP Top 10, OWASP Top 10 for LLM Applications, secure AI development practices, and the evolving threat landscape for AI systems.
  • 6Strong programming ability in Python plus at least one additional language like Go, Java, Rust, or Node.js.
  • 7A track record of driving large-scale automation initiatives and transforming security programs from reactive operations into intelligent, autonomous systems.
  • 8Excellent communication skills — you can translate complex technical and AI-related risks into clear business decisions.

Who Should Apply

This role is for a security engineer who loves working at the cutting edge of AI and security automation. You're someone who doesn't just understand vulnerabilities but builds systems that find and fix them automatically. You thrive in a remote-first, high-autonomy environment and enjoy collaborating with engineering and AI researchers to bake security into the entire product lifecycle. If you've dabbled in LLM security, built autonomous remediation pipelines, or simply can't stop thinking about how to make security scale with software velocity, you'll fit right in.

Salary Insight

Base salary ranges from $180,000 to $230,000, with eligibility for equity compensation and performance-based bonuses. Total compensation can reach up to $400,000 when including equity. Benefits include up to 100% reimbursement for health-insurance premiums, paid time off, a 401(K) plan with company match, and other perks designed for a remote-first workforce.
