What You'll Do6

• Draft single-turn prompts in your nuclear domain and label each one benign, dual-use, or adversarial.
• Build prompts that use plausible research framing and look academic until the underlying request becomes clear.
• Score model responses against the project policy standard and decide whether each answer handled the request as intended.
• Write the reference answer for every prompt, including the technical reasoning that supports your call.
• Provide a written rationale for each judgment that a non-specialist can follow.
• Flag any prompt or scenario that would require classified, export-controlled, NDA-covered, or prepublication-reviewed material.

Requirements8

• Deep knowledge of the nuclear fuel cycle, including enrichment, reprocessing, and criticality safety.
• Exposure to how nuclear material is controlled, accounted for, or diverted.
• Safeguards or nonproliferation experience in a role such as IAEA or Euratom inspector, safeguards analyst, or nonproliferation analyst.
• Background in one or more relevant areas: fuel-cycle engineering, nuclear security and MPC&A, nuclear forensics, or export control.
• Red-team experience, ideally with AI models or adversarial prompt work.
• A record of technical writing, published research, or expert witness work, with a sample or link in your application.
• Comfort reading and writing about misuse scenarios in your field for sustained periods.
• No reliance on classified or export-controlled information, and no NDA or prepublication review obligation that covers the work; disclose any such obligations in your application.

Who Should Apply

Nuclear fuel-cycle specialists with safeguards, nonproliferation, or material accountancy depth fit best, especially those who have red-teamed AI models or written policy-facing technical analysis. Include a writing sample that shows you can explain a misuse judgment to a non-specialist.
