What You'll Do6
- 1Study the data needs of frontier robotics, world models, and physical AI systems and translate them into concrete data requirements.
- 2Create new datasets and collection methods spanning egocentric video, teleoperation, UMI, robot trajectories, sensors, and simulation environments.
- 3Define schemas, annotations, ground truth, and evaluation criteria for manipulation, navigation, spatial reasoning, and physical understanding.
- 4Run experiments to determine which data types and structures most boost model performance.
- 5Collaborate with leading AI and robotics labs to convert research needs into scalable data pipelines and product-ready datasets.
- 6Monitor ongoing research trends and apply findings to steer micro1's robotics data strategy.
Requirements5
- 12–5+ years of experience in robotics, computer vision, multimodal learning, embodied AI, or applied ML research.
- 2Solid understanding of robotics, physical AI, and multimodal data concepts.
- 3Ability to turn research questions into concrete datasets, experiments, and technical specifications.
- 4Strong technical communication and cross‑functional collaboration skills.
- 5Degree in Robotics, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, ML, or a related field, or equivalent practical work.
Who Should Apply
