• Draft realistic lab cases that follow a specimen from accession through the reported result.
• Compose model answers that lay out the analytical reasoning behind each result call.
• Review AI output for clinical accuracy and assess whether the response could lead to patient harm.
• Call out interpretations that sound plausible but would release a wrong result if acted on.
• Apply your departmental depth to cases in hematology, chemistry, microbiology or the blood bank.
• Document your reasoning in plain written English so another scientist can trace your logic.
• Match grading decisions to the standards a working bench or reference lab would hold.

Requirements8

• MLS(ASCP) certification, or an accepted equivalent such as AMT MT.
• At least two years of hands-on clinical laboratory experience.
• Deep working knowledge of one or more departments: hematology, chemistry, micro or blood bank.
• Ability to explain analytical reasoning in clear written English.
• Availability of 10 hours per week or more, scheduled at your discretion.
• Preferred: specialist certification such as SBB, SH or SM.
• Preferred: background in a reference lab, transfusion service or molecular diagnostics.
• Preferred: exposure to QA, method validation or CAP inspection work.

Who Should Apply

Bench scientists and reference lab staff who hold ASCP or AMT certification, have spent two or more years in clinical labs, and can defend a result call in writing. Specialists in blood bank, hematology or microbiology will find the work closest to their training.
