Krita Specialist for Digital Painting Tasks Remote
Overview
As a remote Krita Specialist on a contract basis, you’ll design realistic Krita-based tasks to help train AI image models. Your work centers on digital painting, illustration, and sketching, with careful attention to brushes, layers, masks, and export options. You’ll document each task in SuperAnnotate and record your screen to demonstrate end-to-end workflows that reviewers can follow. Setup matters: Krita must be installed, assets ready, and brush presets prepared before recording.
What You'll Do7
- 1Design realistic Krita tasks that can be completed on a computer using Krita, then document the task clearly in SuperAnnotate.
- 2Prepare the work environment by confirming Krita is installed, assets are available, and brush presets or references are ready before recording.
- 3Record yourself executing the Krita task on your computer, following project instructions, and ensure the workflow is clear and realistic.
- 4Document task context with goals, steps, assets, brush settings, and notes so reviewers can understand how the task was completed.
- 5Demonstrate practical software use by completing workflows involving sketching, painting, layers, masks, selections, brushes, blending modes, reference images, canvas setup, color adjustments, and exports.
- 6Maintain submission quality by reviewing your recording and documentation to ensure completeness and alignment with project guidelines.
- 7Collaborate with reviewers and adhere to project guidelines across time zones.
Requirements9
- 1Hands-on experience using Krita for digital painting, illustration, sketching, concept art, image editing, or export workflows.
- 2English proficiency at B2 level or higher to understand project instructions and communicate with the project team.
- 3Comfortable using a computer, managing image files, navigating digital art interfaces, using drawing tablets where applicable, and recording workflows.
- 4Ability to design realistic and challenging Krita tasks that reflect actual illustration, digital painting, design, education, content creation, or art-editing use cases.
- 5Strong understanding of Krita basics such as brushes, layers, selections, masks, blending modes, color tools, stabilizers, reference images, canvas settings, and export formats.
- 6Ability to ensure your setup supports the task, including Krita installed, image files/assets available, brush presets or references prepared, and resources ready before recording.
- 7High attention to detail when preparing the task, executing the workflow, and checking that the recording is complete and understandable.
- 8Reliable, self-directed, and able to deliver consistent quality in an hourly, remote contractor workflow across time zones.
- 9Additional professional skills are appreciated, including digital art, illustration, graphic design, animation, content creation, education, or marketing.
Who Should Apply
Candidates with solid hands-on Krita experience and a track record of designing task-based challenges will excel. Those who can clearly articulate workflows and provide concrete screen recordings will stand out in reviews. This role favors self-molduled workers who can manage tasks independently across time zones. It is less suitable for applicants without practical Krita experience, or who cannot produce clear, documented tasks and recordings. If you prefer non-remote or fixed-schedule work, this hourly remote engagement may not fit your needs.
