Overview

This role is for a .NET Engineer who will serve as a L2 Application Support specialist, bridging the gap between end-users and development teams. You'll be the go-to person for diagnosing and resolving incidents, performing thorough manual testing, and keeping product documentation crystal clear. It's a hands-on position that combines technical troubleshooting, quality assurance, and continuous improvement within a ticket-driven environment.

What You'll Do9

  • 1Triage and resolve 2nd Line Support tickets by analyzing user-reported issues, identifying root causes, and implementing fixes or workarounds.
  • 2Manage the full lifecycle of incidents and service requests in ServiceNow, ensuring timely updates, accurate prioritization, and proper closure.
  • 3Execute manual testing for functional, regression, and release validation — including creating and maintaining test cases, test scenarios, and checklists.
  • 4Work closely with developers to reproduce defects, validate fixes, and contribute to higher product quality through detailed bug reports and feedback.
  • 5Create and maintain user manuals, knowledge base articles, release notes, and other support documentation that is clear and actionable.
  • 6Use Azure DevOps for defect tracking, task management, and test management activities to keep workflows organized.
  • 7Analyze application logs and system behavior to troubleshoot issues, using tools like log viewers and diagnostic utilities.
  • 8Support pre-production release testing and verification to ensure smooth deployments.
  • 9Generate reports on incident trends, testing status, and quality metrics to inform continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements6

  • 13–7 years of hands-on experience in application support, manual testing, or a related technical support role.
  • 2Proven ability to handle 2nd Line Support and incident management, with strong skills in ServiceNow (incident tracking, reporting, dashboards).
  • 3Solid experience with Azure DevOps for work item and test management, plus familiarity with the Microsoft .NET technology stack.
  • 4Good working knowledge of SQL, web applications, REST APIs, and HTTP protocols for troubleshooting and testing.
  • 5Strong technical writing skills to produce clear user guides, knowledge base articles, and release notes.
  • 6Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a detail-oriented approach to testing and documentation.

Who Should Apply

You're the ideal candidate if you thrive on solving tricky technical problems for end-users and enjoy documenting solutions so others can follow. You have a solid .NET background and are comfortable jumping between log analysis, manual testing, and collaboration with developers. You're organized, communicate clearly, and take ownership of incidents from start to finish. Experience with ITIL processes or test automation is a plus, but not required.
