Overview
The role focuses on guiding AI training with real-world computational biology input. You’ll evaluate and annotate AI system outputs in genomics, transcriptomics, and systems biology contexts, then benchmark performance against concrete biological benchmarks. You’ll document findings clearly and share actionable feedback with cross-functional teams. This is a remote contractor position that leverages deep domain knowledge to influence how models reason about biological data. Python and Bash scripting underpin your day-to-day work.

Requirements5
- 1PhD in Biology, Bioinformatics, or a closely related field or equivalent research/industry experience.
- 2Proven background in data-driven biological research and computational analysis workflows.
- 3Proficiency with scripting (Python, Bash) and familiarity with tools like BWA, GATK, STAR, Salmon, Seurat, or Scanpy.
- 4Strong understanding of genomics, transcriptomics, or systems biology; excellent scientific reasoning and problem-solving.
- 5Clear written and verbal communication skills and experience working with remote, distributed teams.
