Overview

Turing seeks a Business Analyst to evaluate a Computer-Using Agent (CUA) project, judging how well AI systems interpret instructions, reason through problems, and carry out tasks in digital environments. Your days center on inspecting AI-generated responses and actions, verifying claims through online research, and scoring accuracy, task completion, and reasoning quality. You will craft scenarios and questions that test large language models, then deliver annotations, ratings, and written explanations that help improve them. The work runs as a long-term hourly engagement for 16 weeks, with a possible extension and a start around 15 October.

What You'll Do8

  • 1Break down dense written material into clear, structured summaries and analyses.
  • 2Investigate claims online to confirm sources, evidence, and factual support.
  • 3Work through analytical, logical, arithmetic, data interpretation, and puzzle-style problems.
  • 4Design scenarios and questions that measure and push large language model performance.
  • 5Evaluate AI-generated responses and actions, then record detailed ratings, annotations, and explanations.
  • 6Flag errors, missing information, and gaps in task completion when reviewing AI output.
  • 7Apply consistent quality standards and meet agreed timelines while working on your own.
  • 8Compare information across sources to judge reliability and accuracy.

Requirements10

  • 1Strong English reading comprehension and communication skills.
  • 2Analytical, logical, critical, and creative problem-solving ability for complex questions.
  • 3Capacity to separate reliable information from unsupported or inaccurate claims.
  • 4Skill in interpreting data, spotting patterns, comparing details, and doing basic calculations.
  • 5Comfort working independently while following detailed instructions, quality benchmarks, and deadlines.
  • 6Familiarity with Excel, Google Sheets, Google Docs, and Google Workspace.
  • 7Genuine interest in artificial intelligence, large language models, online research, and emerging tools.
  • 8Degree in progress or completed in Engineering, Literature, Journalism, Communications, Arts, Statistics, Business, or a related area (preferred).
  • 9Background in business analysis, research, copywriting, journalism, technical writing, editing, translation, or similar work (preferred).
  • 10Applicants without a bachelor's degree may qualify through relevant experience and proven skills.

Who Should Apply

The role suits someone who reads closely, questions what they see, and enjoys turning messy material into clean, structured analysis. You should be comfortable verifying facts through online research, solving logic and arithmetic puzzles, and writing clear explanations of your judgments on AI output. Candidates with a background in business analysis, research, journalism, technical writing, or editing tend to fit well, as do people with strong Excel and Google Workspace habits and a real interest in LLMs. The role is less suitable if you prefer open-ended creative work without detailed instructions or fixed quality standards. Common reasons candidates score low on fit include weak evidence of analytical or logical reasoning in their application, and skipping or rushing the roughly 45-50 minute Google Form assessment that is required for consideration.
