Overview
Join SME Careers as a remote contract AWS Specialist focused on shaping practical cloud exercises for AI model training. You will craft realistic AWS tasks spanning IAM, S3, EC2, Lambda, and CloudWatch, and document them clearly in SuperAnnotate for review. You will also record your screen as you execute the tasks, ensuring steps are reproducible and safe for AI-training data. This role supports SME Careers, a fast-growing AI Data Services company and a subsidiary of SuperAnnotate, delivering training data for major AI labs.
What You'll Do6
- 1Design realistic AWS tasks that demonstrate practical cloud workflows across IAM, S3, EC2, Lambda, and CloudWatch, and document them clearly in SuperAnnotate.
- 2Prepare the work environment by provisioning necessary access, test resources, sample files, and references before recording.
- 3Record yourself performing the AWS task on your computer, narrating steps and outcomes while keeping the workflow clear and safe.
- 4Provide task context with goals, resource details, files, and notes so reviewers understand how the task was completed.
- 5Demonstrate practical software use by navigating the AWS Console, configuring resources, and troubleshooting in realistic scenarios.
- 6Review your submission for completeness, safety, and alignment with project guidelines.
Requirements9
- 1Hands-on experience with AWS for cloud setup, configuration, monitoring, storage, compute, permissions, deployment, or troubleshooting workflows.
- 2English proficiency at B2 level or higher to understand project instructions, document tasks, and communicate with the project team.
- 3Comfortable using a computer, browser-based tools, cloud consoles, documentation, terminals where needed, and recording workflows.
- 4Ability to propose realistic and challenging AWS tasks reflecting actual cloud, DevOps, backend, admin, data, or infrastructure use cases.
- 5Strong understanding of core AWS basics such as IAM, S3, EC2, Lambda, and CloudWatch, plus security groups, regions, and billing awareness.
- 6Ability to ensure your setup includes AWS access, permissions, sample resources, test environments, and any required references ready before recording.
- 7High attention to detail when preparing the task, executing the workflow, and checking the recording is complete, safe, and understandable.
- 8Reliable, self-directed, and able to deliver consistent quality in an hourly remote contractor workflow across time zones.
- 9Additional professional skills are appreciated, including cloud engineering, DevOps, backend development, cybersecurity, data engineering, coding, admin, operations, or other computer-based workflows.
Who Should Apply
Ideal candidates bring solid hands-on AWS experience and can translate cloud tasks into clear, reviewable demonstrations. The role favors those who design realistic tasks with IAM, S3, EC2, and Lambda, and who document outcomes for AI-training data. It suits self-directed contractors who can work remotely across time zones and deliver consistent, high-quality results. It may be less suitable for applicants without practical AWS exposure or who struggle to produce concise, reproducible screen recordings. Strong communication in English and a dedication to precise task documentation are essential.
Salary Insight
Compensation is $25 per hour. This hourly remote contractor role aligns with task-based training work and supports flexible time zones.
