Overview
Mercor is seeking experienced video producers and editors based in the UK to contribute to a research project with a leading frontier AI lab. This is a remote, hourly role paying $150–$200/hr for professionals who have a strong track record of crafting commercial and brand films at top-tier motion design studios. The focus is purely on video production and post-production — not static graphic design or brand identity work.
What You'll Do5
- 1Produce high-quality video content for leading technology companies, global brands, startups, and cultural institutions, following a producer track that includes scoping, budgeting, scheduling, client management, and directing creative teams.
- 2Edit, motion design, and finish video assets using industry-standard tools such as Premiere Pro, After Effects, DaVinci Resolve, or Cinema 4D.
- 3Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver polished, production-ready film and video that meets contemporary commercial and brand standards.
- 4Create, review, and evaluate high-quality video and motion work, leveraging expertise in production craft, editorial judgment, and current commercial film trends.
- 5Contribute high-quality training data for frontier AI systems, helping to improve how AI understands and generates video content.
Requirements5
- 1Proven experience at a leading motion design or creative production studio such as BUCK, Tendril, Future Deluxe, Hornet, Giant Ant, or Ordinary Folk.
- 2Strong proficiency in video editing and motion design tools including Premiere Pro, After Effects, DaVinci Resolve, and/or Cinema 4D (for the editor track) or end-to-end production capabilities (for the producer track).
- 3Demonstrated excellence in commercial film, brand content, motion design, editorial, or campaign work — with a reel or portfolio to showcase your output.
- 4Ability to critically assess video quality, pacing, and visual execution in line with modern commercial and brand film standards.
- 5Must be based in the United Kingdom and have the legal right to work in the UK.
