Overview

Terac pays technical professionals to judge what separates a strong engineering presentation from a weak one. You review slide decks from your own field, such as design reviews, experiment readouts, and model launches, then explain in writing why some land and others fall flat. That feedback trains models to score design reviews, roadmaps, and postmortems the way a seasoned practitioner would. Work happens async and remote, so you pick the hours. The project suits people who already read and build these documents on a regular basis.

What You'll Do8

  • Score technical slide decks drawn from your own area of practice
  • Judge each deck on clarity, structure, and how well it communicates the technical content
  • Assess artifacts such as design reviews, roadmaps, and experiment readouts
  • Write feedback that names the specific choices behind a deck that works
  • Explain what weakens a presentation that misses the mark
  • Apply your domain judgment to model launches and similar technical decks
  • Rank decks against one another so the strongest examples stand out
  • Complete review tasks on an asynchronous, remote schedule you set

Requirements7

  • Professional experience in a technical or engineering role
  • Hands-on history of building or critiquing technical presentations
  • Comfort reading design reviews, postmortems, or roadmaps and spotting their flaws
  • Ability to write clear, specific feedback about technical communication
  • Working knowledge of at least one of these domains: software engineering, data science, product management, or engineering management
  • Attention to structure and clarity when judging written and visual material
  • Reliable follow-through on independent, self-paced work

Who Should Apply

Software engineers, engineering managers, product managers, and data scientists who regularly write or review decks, roadmaps, and postmortems. The role fits people who can point to a specific slide and explain why it works or fails.
