Microbiologist | $40-$60/hr Remote

Overview

This contract role involves using microbiology expertise to train next-generation AI systems by providing high-quality, real-world data. The microbiologist will analyze microscopic organisms, study their relationship to disease, assess antibiotic impacts, and document findings to support AI model accuracy. The position is fully remote and does not require prior AI experience, focusing instead on domain knowledge in microbiology.

What You'll Do6

• 1Investigate and analyze the development, morphology, and behavior of microscopic organisms including bacteria, fungi, and algae.
• 2Contribute to the study of the relationship between microorganisms and disease, supporting medical microbiology projects.
• 3Assess the impact of antibiotics and other agents on microbial populations to improve AI model accuracy.
• 4Document experimental findings and processes with clarity for AI training data.
• 5Provide written and verbal expertise on microbiological phenomena for computational contexts.
• 6Use rubrics and evaluation criteria to assess data quality and support AI training workflows.

Requirements6

• 1Bachelor’s degree or higher in Biology, Microbiology, Chemistry, or a related field.
• 2Extensive knowledge of bacterial, fungal, and algal systems.
• 3Demonstrated expertise in investigating microbial structure and physiology.
• 4Strong written and verbal communication skills for technical collaboration.
• 5Ability to document processes clearly for integration into AI systems.
• 6Comfort working independently in a fully remote, digital-first environment.
