- 1Hands-on industry background as a working mechanical engineer, or current undergraduate/graduate student who has produced a part, assembly, or analysis that another person manufactured, tested, or approved.
- 2BS, MS, or PhD in mechanical engineering or a related engineering field. Candidates still completing a bachelor's degree need internship experience.
- 3Depth in at least one area: parametric solid modeling with tolerance control, GD&T drawing interpretation, standards-based mechanical design calculations, or FEA validated against hand calculations.
- 4United States residency.
- 5Clear written communication and close attention to detail.
- 6Ability to explain complex mechanical engineering concepts in plain language.
- 7Comfort working alone in a remote, asynchronous arrangement.
- 8Professional Engineer (PE) license or comparable certification is a plus.
