What You'll Do7
- 1Create scientific problem sets that include a main challenge and at least 3 linked sub-problems, each one building logically toward the final solution.
- 2Write verified golden solutions in Python with full unit test coverage for every problem.
- 3Design test cases with discriminating power, so only a truly correct model output gets flagged as passing.
- 4Run quality checks on Turing's Central Task Platform (CTP), covering both Tier 1 structural checks and Tier 2 quality rubric reviews.
- 5Revise tasks after QC feedback to meet the Pass@K metric across multiple LLM judges, including GPT, Gemini, and Nemotron.
- 6Keep rework rates low and aim for first-attempt L1 approval on submissions.
- 7Jump on sync calls for reviews, feedback loops, and project standups during the PST overlap window.
Requirements8
- 1Master's or PhD in Mathematics or a closely related field.
- 2Advanced Python skills with a background in scientific computing and libraries such as NumPy, SciPy, or SymPy.
- 3Ability to write well-posed math and science problems that include clear constraints and expected outputs.
- 4An eye for detail when it comes to well-posedness, test case quality, scientific accuracy, and determinism.
- 5Experience in AI data annotation, academic research, or scientific writing.
- 6Familiarity with LLM evaluation frameworks or coding benchmarks.
- 7Published research or academic project work in a STEM domain.
- 8Willingness to commit 40 hours per week with a 4-hour overlap with Pacific Time.
