Junior Software Engineer (Open 3D Engine) | $20-$120/hr Remote
Overview
This role involves using Open 3D Engine (O3DE) to design and implement 3D scenes and simulations for training AI systems. The engineer will leverage O3DE tools like the Atom Renderer and Component Entity System to generate high-fidelity synthetic data. They will also integrate Python and C++ scripts, and use AWS for deployment and asset management.
What You'll Do7
- 1Design, develop, and implement interactive 3D scenes and simulations using Open 3D Engine (O3DE) for AI training purposes.
- 2Leverage O3DE tools including Atom Renderer, Component Entity System, Gems, and Asset Processor to create high-fidelity environments.
- 3Collaborate with the customer’s team to transform conceptual ideas into finished AI training workflows and simulations.
- 4Integrate Python and C++ scripts for enhanced functionality and automation within O3DE projects.
- 5Utilize AWS services to support robust, scalable 3D simulation deployment and asset management.
- 6Document processes and communicate progress through strong written and verbal updates.
- 7Troubleshoot and optimize simulation performance for accuracy and efficiency in AI training.
Requirements7
- 1Hands-on experience with O3DE (Open 3D Engine), including core tools and asset workflows.
- 2Proficiency in Python and C++ for 3D scene development and automation.
- 3Experience building interactive 3D environments from concept to completion, tailored for simulation and AI training.
- 4Familiarity with Atom Renderer, Component Entity System, Gems, and Asset Processor within O3DE.
- 5Strong written and verbal communication skills with ability to document technical concepts.
- 6Basic knowledge of AWS infrastructure for cloud-based development and deployment.
- 7Background in game development, simulation, or real-time graphics projects.
Who Should Apply
Ideal candidates have hands-on experience with Open 3D Engine (O3DE) and are proficient in Python and C++. They should be comfortable building interactive 3D environments for simulation or AI training, and have familiarity with AWS. A background in game development or real-time graphics is also important, as is the ability to document and communicate technical work clearly.
