• First-author publications and a record of owning complex bioinformatics pipelines that frontier AI models cannot reproduce.
• PhD in computational biology, bioinformatics, genomics, or a related quantitative or life sciences field. An MS with substantial industry experience also qualifies.
• Deep expertise in at least one area: NGS and genomics pipelines with BWA, GATK, and samtools plus sequence analysis using BLAST and Biopython; statistical genetics; structural biology with PyMOL and AlphaFold.
• Handshake also considers applicants who meet two of these three core qualifications.
• Comfort with R, Bioconductor, and other standard bioinformatics or computational biology environments.
• Experience owning end-to-end genomics or NGS pipelines in academic or industry research.
• Indian work authorization.
• Strong written communication and close attention to detail.

• Ability to work on your own in a remote, asynchronous setting.
