Overview

Lead backend architecture for a global transportation management system, owning core applications and ensuring scalability, reliability, and performance. Drive design of distributed systems, mentor engineers, and collaborate cross-functionally.

What You'll Do5

  • 1Own one or more core applications end-to-end, ensuring reliability, performance, and scalability.
  • 2Lead the design, architecture, and development of complex, distributed systems, frameworks, and libraries aligned with technical strategy.
  • 3Drive engineering operational excellence by defining robust roadmaps for system reliability, observability, and performance improvements.
  • 4Analyze and optimize existing systems for latency, throughput, and efficiency, ensuring performance at scale.
  • 5Mentor and guide engineers, fostering a culture of technical excellence, ownership, and continuous learning.

Requirements5

  • 19+ years of backend engineering experience with Java, Spring/Spring Boot, and microservices building large-scale systems.
  • 2Strong proficiency in data structures and algorithms, system design, design patterns, and problem-solving.
  • 3Proven experience building scalable, reliable, high-performance distributed systems.
  • 4Hands-on experience with SQL/NoSQL databases, REST/gRPC APIs, concurrency, and async processing.
  • 5Experience with AWS/GCP, CI/CD pipelines, and observability/monitoring tools.

Who Should Apply

An experienced backend engineer with at least 9 years, strong Java and microservices expertise, and a track record of designing distributed systems. Should have been a tech lead or equivalent for over 2.5 years, with a stable career history and a computer science degree from a top-tier college. Excellent communication and experience in B2B SaaS product companies are preferred.
