Overview

This role involves training next-generation AI systems by applying software engineering expertise. The contractor will develop and optimize AI training pipelines using Python, Go, JavaScript, and Rust, manage production builds and Dockerized environments, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve model learning. No prior AI experience is required—domain knowledge in engineering is key.

What You'll Do7

  • 1Develop and optimize AI training pipelines using Python, GoLang, JavaScript, and Rust within complex engineering stacks
  • 2Design, troubleshoot, and manage production-grade system builds, Dockerized sandboxes, and CI/CD workflows
  • 3Demonstrate advanced problem-solving by navigating filesystems, managing processes, and recovering from system errors
  • 4Collaborate with cross-functional teams to refine data sets, model behaviors, and infrastructure for AI learning
  • 5Document and communicate technical solutions clearly, ensuring effective knowledge transfer and process improvements
  • 6Implement best practices for security, scalability, and maintainability across infrastructure and codebases
  • 7Continuously evaluate cutting-edge tools, libraries, and frameworks to enhance AI training efficiency

Requirements6

  • 15+ years of hands-on experience as a software engineer, SRE, or DevOps engineer in production environments
  • 2Expert proficiency with Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, Go, and Rust; familiarity with C/C++ and Bash is a plus
  • 3Robust experience with build systems, package managers, ML frameworks, databases, cryptography, and version control tools
  • 4Demonstrated mastery in terminal-based workflows, including problem decomposition and dynamic replanning under constraints
  • 5Proven ability to design and maintain complex infrastructure, including Docker and server administration
  • 6Fluent English proficiency, with a commitment to clear communication and collaborative teamwork

Who Should Apply

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of software engineering, SRE, or DevOps experience with expert-level proficiency in Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, Go, and Rust. They are comfortable with production builds, Docker, CI/CD, terminal workflows, and collaborating in distributed international teams. No prior AI experience is required—strong engineering domain knowledge is what matters.
