Manager - Data Engineer (PharmaTech/Life ScienceTech)
Overview
We are hiring a Manager/Lead for Data Engineering & ETL Operations to drive enterprise-scale data integration and analytics solutions. The role requires strong hands-on expertise in ETL, cloud platforms, and data warehousing, along with ability to lead teams and manage delivery. This is a hands-on leadership role ideal for professionals transitioning from Senior Engineer to Manager.
What You'll Do10
- 1Lead ETL development, operations, and production support
- 2Design and manage cloud-based data platforms (AWS / Azure / GCP)
- 3Build and optimize data warehouse solutions using Snowflake / Redshift
- 4Implement dimensional models including SCD Type 1/2/3
- 5Develop and orchestrate pipelines using SSIS, Matillion, SnapLogic, PySpark
- 6Ensure data quality, performance, scalability, and reliability
- 7Support downstream analytics and reporting (Tableau / Power BI)
- 8Lead small-to-medium teams, perform code reviews, and mentor engineers
- 9Work closely with business and analytics stakeholders
- 10Drive root-cause analysis and problem resolution for data issues
Requirements8
- 17+ years of experience in Data Engineering / ETL with at least 3+ years in pharma/life sciences domain
- 2Strong expertise in ETL tools (SSIS / Matillion / SnapLogic) and pipeline development
- 3Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS / Azure / GCP)
- 4Experience working with data warehouses (Snowflake / Redshift)
- 5Strong knowledge of data warehousing concepts and dimensional modeling (SCD Type 1/2/3)
- 6Hands-on experience with PySpark for large-scale data processing
- 7Experience ensuring data quality, scalability, and performance of data pipelines
- 8At least 2+ years of experience leading teams, mentoring engineers, and owning end-to-end delivery

Salary Insight
