LMMS Expert | $40-$100/hr Remote
Overview
In this contract role, you will apply your LMMS expertise to train next-generation AI systems by producing and documenting complete music projects from initial idea to final master export. You will demonstrate creative and technical decision-making throughout composition, sound design, arrangement, mixing, and mastering, while communicating workflows and challenges. Your insights will help refine AI models that aim to emulate authentic, professional music production practices.
What You'll Do7
- 1Produce and document entire music projects within LMMS, from initial idea to final master export
- 2Demonstrate creative and technical decision-making throughout composition, sound design, arrangement, mixing, and mastering
- 3Showcase hands-on expertise using LMMS on Linux, Mac, and Windows operating systems
- 4Work with a variety of genres and project types, including electronic, hip-hop, pop, game audio, experimental, or podcasts
- 5Utilize and explain advanced LMMS features: MIDI sequencing, effect processing, plugin integration, automation, and problem-solving techniques
- 6Communicate workflow, challenges, and rationale via clear written and verbal updates as part of a collaborative documentation process
- 7Contribute feedback and insights to help refine AI models that aim to emulate authentic, professional music production practices
Requirements7
- 1Proven, hands-on expertise completing full music production projects using LMMS as the primary DAW
- 2Comprehensive understanding of sound design, mixing, and music arrangement within LMMS
- 3Proficiency operating LMMS on Linux, Mac, or Windows platforms
- 4Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate production concepts and creative choices
- 5Demonstrated experience taking audio projects from concept to final export, independently managing all phases
- 6Familiarity working with a wide range of project types and genres
- 7Problem-solving attitude and ability to document real-world workflows in detail
