Overview
This is a consulting role where experienced engineers apply their domain expertise to train next-generation AI systems. As a member of micro1's Super Star Program, you advise client teams and micro1 staff on complex engineering scenarios, participate in calls, and design sample tasks that reflect real-world challenges. The role does not require prior AI experience—your deep engineering knowledge is the key asset.
What You'll Do5
- 1Advise client teams and micro1 core staff on complex scenarios within your engineering subdomain.
- 2Participate in client calls to consult on pipelines and engineering problems in real time.
- 3Collaborate with technical staff on research initiatives to identify cutting-edge opportunities.
- 4Design and develop sample tasks that reflect real-world engineering challenges for pipeline development.
- 5Assess and communicate tradeoffs, constraints, and risks under incomplete information and evolving requirements.
Requirements5
- 1Hands-on expertise in at least one of: structural, mechanical/thermal, manufacturing/production, robotics/automation, power/electrical, embedded systems, or control/systems engineering.
- 2Proven ability to solve real-world engineering problems while balancing cost, safety, performance, and timeline.
- 3Exceptional judgment and ownership in high-stakes, high-constraint environments.
- 4Clear, concise communication skills to explain technical decisions to non-engineering audiences.
- 5Track record of translating domain expertise into actionable recommendations and structured deliverables.
