Corporate M&A Paralegal | $40-$70/hr Remote
Overview
This role involves applying corporate M&A paralegal expertise to help train next-generation AI systems. The work focuses on supporting M&A transactions, ensuring PII compliance, and managing sensitive documents, with the goal of improving how AI models learn and reason in legal contexts.
What You'll Do7
- 1Support attorneys and deal teams in all stages of M&A transactions, including due diligence, document preparation, and post-closing activities
- 2Review, organize, and manage sensitive corporate and financial documents, ensuring strict compliance with PII regulations
- 3Oversee secure handling, redaction, and transfer of PII and other confidential data throughout deal processes
- 4Assist in drafting, filing, and maintaining compliance documentation and regulatory submissions as required
- 5Conduct PII compliance checks, identify risks, and implement process improvements to enhance data privacy
- 6Liaise with internal stakeholders and external parties, communicating updates, risks, and requirements both in writing and verbally
- 7Maintain meticulous records, manage checklists, and track key transaction milestones to ensure operational efficiency
Requirements5
- 1Minimum 2 years' experience with PII compliance in a corporate or M&A legal setting
- 2Demonstrated expertise in handling and protecting sensitive and proprietary documentation
- 3Strong knowledge of Mergers & Acquisitions processes, terminology, and best practices
- 4Deep understanding of regulatory frameworks governing data privacy and compliance
- 5Exceptional written and verbal communication skills; ability to distill complex legal issues concisely
